Today we had our annual harvest festival and harvest lunch. During our church service, the Foundation Stage/Key Stage 1 children shared a poem and a song and KS2 shared the Roman story of the Seasons. We also shared harvest hymns and the Handchime group played three harvest songs.
After the church service, 108 people (including the children) sat down together for a special Harvest Lunch prepared by the school staff. Invited guests sat at tables with the children sharing a meal of ham and cheese salad and stories of school life. For pudding we managed jelly and ice cream or apple crumble.
