Wonderful World Book Day

After the snow interrupted our original World Book Day celebrations, we thought we would try again and we are so very glad we did. A multitude of characters flooded through the gates this morning, grinning from ear to ear. Everyone looked fantastic - thank you as always, parents for your hard work and support!

We have been celebrating the magic of books with a whole school parade where Matilda had to stay clear of Miss Trunchball; Draco Malfoy and Hermione Granger stared each other down with wands at the ready; the Queen of Hearts made her demands while her cards tried to repaint the white roses red.

The children have also been writing book reviews, shared our favourite books, explained why they have chosen to be that character and our Yr 5s and 6s have each given a talk in role!

To top off our days, we have all received the World Book Day books of our choice (or vouchers in Yr5/6). We hope you enjoy reading them together.

We have thoroughly enjoyed celebrating World Book Day and loved celebrating the wonder that are books!
