Supporting your child's learning at home

Parents supporting learning at home:

Research shows that parental involvement in children’s learning is a key factor in improving children’s academic attainment and achievements, as well as their overall behaviour and attendance. Effective links between school and home are imperative for this to work well.

At Clifton Hampden C of E Primary School we have produced some guidance which we hope you find useful when supporting your child at home.

National Curriculum 2014

A new statutory national curriculum has been introduced to primary schools in England. For more information about how we are meeting the statutory requirements, please click here to visit our dedicated page.

Click on the parents guides below to find out about expectations in each year group. It is important to remember that children do not all learn at the same pace or in a linear fashion, some children have aptitude for specific subjects although need additional consolidation in other subjects. Please speak to your child's class teacher if you would like anymore information.
