This term in Forest School we have been learning about ‘Winter’. We began by looking at evergreen trees (those which we keep their leaves all year round) and deciduous tree (those which lose their leaves in the autumn). We used our observations to draw, pastel and paint winter trees (please do have a look at our Forest School display at the back entrance).
Taking our learning about winter a little further, we then tried to find as many items on our scavenger list as possible whilst we went for a local walk.
We have gone on to learn about supporting wildlife and made bird feeders to support the small birds in our local environment.
The children have made tree using natural art and some have even been framed using natural resources!
