During term 5 at Forest School, Reception and KS1’s have used the school grounds, the old airfield and our Forest School site. Our learning has looked at lots of different things but mainly animal habitats and learning animals need food, water and shelter to survive. We enjoyed bug hunting on a crazy hot April afternoon along with rejuvenating our bug hotel. We were impressed to see lots of spiders and woodlice already living in it! We learnt about habitats at our Forest School noticing lots of similarities. We sorted pictures of animals into groups to help us understand the difference between mammals, reptiles, amphibians, bird, insects and fish. We made our own animal homes and we enjoyed time exploring and playing in the woods.
