Term 6

Week 5: 3/7/17

In preparation for September, we have worked lots with year 1 this week.  Please see our Forest School page and KS1 class page for additional photographs.

CLL/UoW: We began the week by looking at 'real live dead fish' a phrase used by one of the children.  We found out about the gills and fins and how a fish moves.  We finished our learning about coral reefs and made a scene to show our learning and understanding.

As Tuesday was 'Transition Morning' where all the children moved up a year, we completed a transition booklet to share with Miss Hodgkins next week.

Phonics: We are continuing with our phase 4 learning - the letters make individual sounds but are spoken quickly so it sounds as if it is only one sound!

PD: On Wednesday we practised for our forthcoming Sports Day and our Friday session was focussed on healthy eating - please see 'Latest News' http://www.clifton-hampden.oxon.sch.uk/stream/news/full/1/-//  for pictures from our amazing 'Pirate and Mermaid' cooking and picnic adventure.   During handwriting we have been practising our long ladder letters.
