We have made Anglo-Saxon masks in the style of the one found at Sutton Hoo.
We are making our own version on an Anglo-Saxon mask buried with a King at Sutton Hoo.

19.1.17 We have been pretending to be Anglo-Saxon settlers. We have been doing some of the things they would have done like weaving, dying clothe using ingredients found in nature and for those well off people - a spot of writing using runes.
We have also been using the internet to research other jobs and activities families would have done during the Anglo-Saxon period. Some groups have been archaeologists, investigating some artefacts to find clues about everyday life.
12.1.17 Imagine you were an Anglo-Saxon who has just made the journey to Britain. You have found some land which is unoccupied. Where would you build your settlement? What would you need from the environment in order to thrive here?
