School Meals
Nourishing school lunches are cooked off site and supplied hot and fresh by John Mason catering team. A menu is sent each season and parents may order their child a lunch as little or as often as they wish. The cost of lunch for paying participants is currently £2.45 per day. All food is sourced locally and cooked freshly on their site.

Special Diets
John Mason catering team are committed to providing meals for children needing special diets for medical and cultural reasons, where possible. Please let us know if your child requires a special diet.
UNIVERSAL INFANT FREE SCHOOL MEALS
The universal infant free school meals policy, launched in September 2014, entitles every child in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 to a free lunch at school every day.

FREE SCHOOL MEALS (FSM)
Your child may be entitled to Free School Meals if your family is on low income or in receipt of state benefits or Universal Credit.

If you think you may qualify, please contact the school office for advice on how to apply. Any communication / correspondence in this regard is handled with sensitivity and confidentiality.
LUNCH ORDERS
School lunches are ordered a week in advance to allow the caterers to confirm their orders with their suppliers. Orders for Preschool and KS2 children are made via Parentmail PMX in your accounts tab. Ordering deadline is Thursday for the following week.
Reception & KS1 children are strongly encouraged to take up their Universal Free School Meal and they are opted in as default, so please confirm with the school office if your child will be bringing in a packed lunch.
LUNCH PAYMENTS
Lunch payments are made online via Parent Pay in your PMX Parentmail account.
PACKED LUNCHES
If you provide your children with a packed lunch from home, please ensure that the lunches are healthy to help us encourage good health & dental hygiene.
No sweets or fizzy drinks please, these items are not permitted to be consumed in school. We are a nut free school so please do not include any nuts or products containing nuts in your child's lunch box, as these cannot be consumed in school.
